As we said before, we are really proud with all the clips that were submitted to the competition, and we are lucky to have such amazing and devoted fans. Thank you!

In November 2010 I received an email from a guy called Abdallah Al-Khalidi asking for the permission to add a page to Meen on a website called Jeeran Music. I agreed. The next thing I know is that few weeks ago they sent an email to the mailing list stating that jeeran music is from now on called bandoora. What the hell?

So guys, please take note, we are not affiliated to that website. They just stole our brand name.

And here are some more awesome updates for this Christmas season:

  • We are having a concert next Sunday at nova club Sinnelfeel; This is the link to the facebook event page. Entrance for 10$ including one drink. We will be performing new hot never ever performed to the public before songs, some of our Christmas songs, and many titles from the “live” album. We will also be performing Hotel California. So bring all your friends (khasatan the ones that have never been to a Meen concert before) and join the party this Sunday.
  • Did you listen to the X-mas songs we produced last year?? The album is called “Min l manjam 3al marreekh” and you can download it from here: http://www.meentheband.com/marreekh/allsongs.zip , Feel free to share!
  • We have created a super wazwaz Christmas ringtone that you can download here.
  • As we said, we are recording our new album, and 1/3 of the tracks are almost fully recorded. Release date will most probably be in spring, so stay tuned!

Just after 2 weeks, our MEEN LIVE album is still in the sales chart at virgin mega stores, and now is up to the 3rd position (from the 9th position last week).

Also, our christmas album also made it to the charts, at the 12th position. So we have both our albums at the top 20 charts.  This means that,  if we add up the sales of the 3rd position with the sales of the 12th position, we can conclude that MEEN is most probably the most selling artist this christmas season at virgin mega stores :)

Our new album is finally to be released the 8th of Dec 2008.

It is a live recording of the concert we had in May 2009 at Tournesol theatre in Beirut.

The album will feature 13 songs including: Pussycat, Shifta jeye mni b3eed, wil khasr yhizz, Jongar, Nasheed el banadoura, 3afife life, Soeur Marie celesteen, Wosil el balegh, lamman kinna zghar, bi3tizir minnik madame …

The signing session will take place the 8th at La Maison du Disque Dbayeh. It is a nice new lounge. Check out the map below for exact location (tal3it l safara el amerikiyeh).
